Derwayne Wills is a gender, youth, and migrant rights advocate who blogs and writes for local, regional, and international publications. A graduate of the University of the West Indies (UWI) in Trinidad and Tobago where he pursued Sociology with a focus in gender and development, Derwayne is the Interim Chairman of the Guyana National Youth Council (GNYC), a Board Director of the Guyana Responsible Parenthood Association (GRPA) where he represents the Society Against Sexual Orientation Discrimination (SASOD), and the Founder and Managing Director of the Migrant Support Network of Guyana (MSN-GY). Derwayne has worked on community-based projects across Guyana focusing on youth and women, and is also trained in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Derwayne is currently employed full-time as a Researcher in the Ministry of Communities in Guyana.
